Digital India Corporation (DIC) as an integrated approach has taken-up the project to enhance its applications in the area of Agriculture, Differently Abled and Embroidery & Weaving with a specific focus on deployment within the North-Eastern States. This initiative aims to extend benefits to farmers, educators in special schools, and women / artisans engaged in embroidery, weaving, and related crafts.
To ensure optimal relevance and effectiveness, some of DIC's ICT applications are being enhanced and customized to align with the unique requirements of each state in the region. The following technologies have been identified for customization and deployment, selected based on their usability and potential impact in the North-Eastern Region.
‘Interactive Information Dissemination System (IIDS)’ is an integrated model largely integration of Toll free IVRS, Smart Phone Application and Interactive Portal.
IIDS is a pull and push based system where agriculture related information can be pulled by the farmers using the mobile phones. Currently IIDS version works on Desktop/Laptop for various types of users.
A child with Intellectual Disabilities (IDs) undergoes a comprehensive evaluation to assess the services required for improvement.
Special teachers maintain detailed assessment & programming records of these children and analyse them manually which is a cumbersome
task. ‘Punarjjani™’ empowers special teachers for easy, efficient, quick and regular assessment of these children.
DigiBunai™ aid's the weavers to create digital artwork and translate the saree design to be loaded to the looms. DigiBunai™ is a first of its kind Open Source software for Jacquard and dobby weaving.
The software is customizable (local language and library of local designs) and also has the ability to integrate digital design tool of the user’s choice.
